• Music, chaos & myself

This exhibition comprises the series of paintings on Richie Hawtin. In these works I try to explore the mind of DJs and connect, through their music, with their own creativity. My paintings aim to arouse curiosity about minimalist electronic music, of which Hawtin is one of the greatest exponents. To do this, I use the resource of repetition and the use of elements linked to rhythm and spatiality. In the creation process I use photographs, pencils, watercolors and pastels to develop sketches and collages that aesthetically solve the composition of the works. My latest series focuses on the study of a fictional character called Plastikman, which alludes to the pseudonym by which Richie Hawtin is known. These works explore the human figure in various formats and materials, where the color palette is directly linked to this character. Likewise, I choose other materials such as paint based on aluminum pigment to impregnate a futuristic accent to the paintings, associating them with the sounds of Techno.
