This series arises during the period of the pandemic, in moments of so much global pain, venerating an ancient belief, which aims to transmit spiritual strength. For four years, out of fear and uncertainty about going through Saṃsāra, I painted all these tunnels of darkness. Invaded by anguish, they allowed me to externalize this disturbing idea of death. I was also able to understand spatially like this, the comforting possibility of recognizing the existence of a tutelary deity in our lives. Kwan Yin, Buddhist goddess of compassion, appears to me as protector at the end of the journey. This is why I select it as the centerpiece of it. Unique image of beauty and superior presence. Further back is the beginning of horror... the black uncertainty of Saṃsāra.
